What do we mean by value?
The sustainability of a company depends on its ability to generate value in the long term. What do We Mean by Value at Ameris? We understand and share the idea that value goes beyond the purely economic-financial. To remain relevant as a company, we must be able to create value in a comprehensive way, adopting a holistic vision that seeks to maximize the creation of economic, social and environmental value.
This comprehensive value creation must be manifested at different levels: The operational and human level, and the business level itself, in our case, investment management.
We Bring the capital market closer to socio-environmental needs
Ameris began working on bringing the capital market closer to socio-environmental needs in 2010, with the launch of the first impact investment fund in Chile: Fondo de Inversión Social (Social Investment Fund or FIS).
Building on this experience, we have worked to mainstream and formalize these matters within our company. An important step in this direction was our adhesion as Signatories to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in 2020, seeking to establish a formal commitment to the incorporation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects in our investment processes.
